Engine Cleaner

A non-acid, 4:1 concentrate Engine Degreaser that quickly cleans and brightens the engine, hoses, wires and the surrounding engine compartment. Hi-Temp designed it to dissolve heavy build-up, but not the non-metal parts. This is a tricky feat.

Engine cleaning takes patience, the right tools, and a bit of common sense. There are still those who think it's perfectly all right to pressure wash engine compartments. That couldn't be more incorrect.

Some auto manufactures design well protected compartments, others do not. Point a pressure washer into one with unprotected electrical components, and you're out of luck. The right choice is to bite the bullet and clean the engine area by hand. It can be done without too much effort if you use the right products and accessories.

Spray the Engine Cleaner over the the engine components making sure to approach it from every angle. Give it ample time to dissolve the grease. Agitate the flat areas with a scrub brush and crevices with small detail brushes. Some areas may take a couple of applications.

Give the entire compartment a final wash with the Flow-Thru Brush, and rinse with a regular hose. Follow with the water-based #HT-11 Engine Dressing or our Top of the Line Best Dressed.
