In 1994 General Motors laughingly granted Frogworks a license to create an antenna which incorporated the Bow Tie logo. They thought we would probably sell “thousands” of them. As it turns out, we've sold hundreds of thousand in various styles and finishes and the market keeps expanding. As the water in the frog pond deepened, Ford and DaimlerChrysler also granted us licenses for their logos and lots more antenna designs were offered.
We're now in our 12th year and are delighted to continue serving people of undeniable good taste who recognize Tennatoys® for the works of art they are.
Tennatoys are solid steel replacement antennas which fit all US and foreign made trucks and autos. The entire antenna is made in the U.S.A. Tennatoys designs are either laser carved or die stamped from solid 8" steel stock. The antenna wire is high quality spring steel, and all antennas are powder coated in a satin black finish which is warranted against rust and corrosion for five years. Highest quality standards are maintained and, where possible, OEM specifications are met. The antenna length is a standard 31" and the designs are approximately 4 inches across in their longest dimension.
All our antennas come with a standard 6 mm thread in the base, which is the General Motors thread size. All antennas fit ALL General Motors vehicles EXCEPT for some post-1993 models of the Camaro. We have free replacement studs for Camaro models which require an 8mm thread in the base. Chevy Bow Tie antennas are sold without studs since they will fit almost all GM vehicles.
All other antennas are packaged with a double male (6 mm to 1/4 inch) stud which will fit all Ford vehicles and recent (since 1999) Daimler Chrysler vehicles. For Ram antennas special adapters are available FREE, to make RAM antennas fit Dodge truck models before 1999.
Please note: from 1995 to 1998-9 Dodge embedded the antenna stud in a hard plastic base. Trying to remove a stud sealed in plastic destroys the antenna base. If it looks like the Dodge stud won't unscrew, get a FREE adapter from Frogworks.
A special stud is available, FREE, to make all antennas fit Toyota or other Japanese and Korean model vehicles. All antenna packages list the phone number to call for proper stud adapters.
All antennas are packaged with a neoprene O-ring which may be slipped on the stud. This permits adjustment of the design, is a weather seal and a damper which reduces antenna vibrations.
