Taxor began manufacturing custom designed watches for the automobile industry in 1996. Ford Motor Company was the first company to grant license under the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury brand names. General Motors followed with Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Corvette, GMC, Pontiac, and Saturn license.

In 1999, Taxor completed the American car line-up when Daimler-Chrysler Corporation granted them the right to use the Dodge, Chrysler, Hemi, Jeep and Plymouth names and trademarks. Taxor is also licensed by Acura, Honda, NHRA, Nissan and Toyota.
