Heavy Scratches Hi-Temp's Heavy Compound is recommended for professional use only. It utilizes mechanical abrasives, as opposed to the chemical abrasives used in their Paint Levelers.

Heavy Cut is capable of removing 600 grit sand scratches and should only be used for severe paint imperfections or heavy oxidation. Heavy Cut Compound is clear coat safe and very effective for restoring severely oxidized Gelcoat and Fiberglass vehicles.

The Heavy Cut Compound applies best with a wool pad and a high-speed, rotary polisher. The compound's abrasive material crushes into a fine polishing dust as it is buffed into the surface at 1,600 to 1,800 rpms.

Followed Heavy Cut with a foam pad using Hi-Temp's #HT-61 Smooth Cut Swirl Remover or #HT-69 Paint Perfection Glaze one-step cleaner/wax sealant.
