Porter Cable #6 Counter Weight If you upgrade your Porter Cable #7424 to a larger, 6" pad holder or sanding disk, we recommend upgrading the counter weight as well. Larger back plates and pads may not harm the polisher, but you will notice an increase in it's vibration.
Changing the counter weight, balances the orbiting motion and maintains the polisher's integrity. It's a small item, but it sure makes a difference in the handling!
