Our Porter Cable 7424XP Kit replaces the undesirable, head/pad combo that comes with the polisher, and adds an upgraded, 6" Backing Plate, a 7.5" Lake Country VC Polishing Pad, and a #6 Porter Cable Counter Weight!
The Porter Cable 7424XP is a welcomed upgrade to the original, #7424, we all know and love. It's faster, stronger, more durable, and a lot more streamlined. Best of all, we have NOT raised the price! What a deal!
Upgrading from the #7424 to the #7424XP not only increased the power and speed, the new, smooth ergonomics offer more comfort and increased control. This is essential when detailing more than one vehicle, a large boat, RV, or airplane.
The New and Improved, Porter Cable 7424XP is a true professional unit, but it's so user-friendly, a beginner will be able to accomplish professional results the first time! Most random orbital polishers don't have the torque necessary to keep the pad spinning as pressure is applied to the work surface. The #7424XP delivers enough power to remove scratches, swirls and oxidation with very little vibration. Not only does the #7424XP increase power and improve ergonomics, it's perfect for a beginner and has the durability and performance to satisfy the most demanding professional.
Porter Cable 7424XP Improvements:
Porter Cable 7224XP Specifications:
Included in the Porter Cable 7424XP Kit:
- 6" Velcro Pad Holder: The 6" velcro pad holder will also enable your Porter Cable polisher to use any type of polisher pad with a 6.5" velcro backing. This includes our Lake Country 6.5" Low Profile and Microfiber Pads, all 7.5" Lake Country Foam Pads, 7.5" Wool Pads, and the 6.5" Microfiber Buffing Pads. Clearly, this is the way to go!
- 7.5" Lake Country Green VC Polishing Pad: Designed for light oxidation, scratches and surface swirls. Use with light cutting products: (polishes, swirl removers, pre-wax cleaners).
- Porter Cable #6 Counter Weight: Larger back plates and pads may not harm the polisher, but you will notice an increase in it's vibration. Changing the counter weight, balances the orbiting motion and maintains the polisher's integrity. It's a small item, but it sure makes a difference in the handling!
