You won't believe the texture and size of this towel. It's so velvity soft, you won't mind using it on any car. It's a chamois, made of Micro-PVA.
The huge cloth is made of PVA material, which is one of the softest materials to pamper a vehicle. It's also very durable and absorbs water much faster than a natural chamois. We never recommend natural, leather chamois because they harbor abrasive grit that cannot be washed out.
Physical Properties of PVA
PVA is a synthetic material essentially composed of Polyvinyl Alcohol. It possesses a three dimensional open cell structure similar to that of natural sea sponges. All of its cells are interconnected, not independent. Major advantages of this physical structure are its high filtering efficiency, its ability to be reused after cleaning and its impressive retention and wicking properties.
PVA will absorb up to 12 times its dry weight in water. When saturated, it becomes flexible and soft like natural sea sponge. The wet volume is about 20% greater than the dry volume. PVA exhibits mechanical strength and abrasion resistance equal to or greater than any other synthetic sponge material.

New PVA Chamois should be machine washed to remove any residual film from the manufacturing process. If it still does not absorb as expected, wash a second time.
The chamois should be machine washed after each use to remove microscopic debris. Wash with a liquid detergent and air dry. Never add fabric softener to the wash. Do not leave in a damp bucket, as it will collect mildew.
